Disney Surprises Already Starting!

I had a moment and wanted to blog about the first Disney surprise for us before our trip even started. My "online" friend Carrie, who is "real life" friends with my friend Bethany from college won a trip to Disney to stay in the Swan and Dolphin Hotel for three days next week while we will be there!! I have been really wanting to meet Carrie and how funny that we will finally be meeting in real life in FL of all places! And, I have not seen Bethany since her wedding right after we all graduated which was...ahem...7 1/2 years ago. But, whose counting, right?

I am super excited. Please say a prayer for our safety while traveling and an extra little prayer for poor Scott. While I ran up to Kroger today to pick up a prescription, he went up the stairs to our bonus room to get our small suitcase and tripped up the stairs at the top of the first little section of stairs (there's a short section, then a half turn, then another small section if that makes any sense). Anyway, he believes he hit his head on the hand rail. I came home and thought he had gotten into it with one of the cats, but then he told me the story and when I looked at it in the light, he has quite a little gash in his head over his right eye. Yikes! This really makes me nervous because what if he had poked his eye out?! He tends to do things like this though. Shortly after we were married, he turned around too quickly in our apt. and go disoriented and bashed his head on the corner of the door so hard it was gushing blood. And, that was on a church morning, so we went to church with a huge band-aid on his head between his eyes! He said that since our 5th anniversary is so close, he figured he needed to celebrate with a new scar! (Yes, he still has a scar from that incident with the door.) Anyway, Scott has no swelling on his head, but he says he feels light-headed. I am a teensy bit nervous about that. But, we are about to eat so hopefully he'll feel better after that. So, pray for no more accidents!

Scrapblog

Hello everyone. In case you want to know how I set up my blog, this is how:

I used a website Jennifer sent me a while back to make it three columns (this was before all these cute blog backgrounds in three column format were available).

Then, my new blogging friend Carrie (whose blog I found through my friend Bethany's) has a great "How To" on her blog on how you make the cute header I have. You should read hers to see how, because I don't think I need to re-create the wheel and tell you how here when she's already done it. You can also check out her cute header!

Now, I just need to figure out how to change my background color on the template I have in place. I really don't think I want to use one of the cute backgrounds that lots of people are using, because I have noticed that there is a lag in download speed on those blogs and I like instant gratification when I open my blog!

Blogger help, here I come!

Webstat

Okay, does anyone else use webstat to see how many people look at their blog/website? Well, I check mine every so often and I am sometimes surprised at the addresses of the people who look at my blog. A while back, I had someone at NASA.gov look at my blog. Perhaps this is because I have a recipe for Flying Saucers on my blog. Today, I had someone at USCourts.gov checking out my blog. Of course, I also have the usual bellsouth-ers and comcast-ers and the occasional charter.net-ers and then some of you who check at work, I either get a plain old IP address or the name of your server which makes it clear who has been reading my blog. (wink,wink). I won't tell. I look at blogs at work, I admit it. But, not a lot. Just when I need a break for a second. So, anyway, I wondered if you ever look at your "hit tracker" software such as webstat and have some crazy names in there? I'd like to hear who.

I stumbled across her blog while looking at the comments on a blog that I found through the comments on someone else's blog! She lives in Maine and has all kinds of four-legged friends with whom she shares her piece of land. Reading her blog makes me want to visit Maine and the rest of New England...but maybe we will do that in the summer, because if you know me, you know how much I hate cold weather!
