Webstat

Okay, does anyone else use webstat to see how many people look at their blog/website? Well, I check mine every so often and I am sometimes surprised at the addresses of the people who look at my blog. A while back, I had someone at NASA.gov look at my blog. Perhaps this is because I have a recipe for Flying Saucers on my blog. Today, I had someone at USCourts.gov checking out my blog. Of course, I also have the usual bellsouth-ers and comcast-ers and the occasional charter.net-ers and then some of you who check at work, I either get a plain old IP address or the name of your server which makes it clear who has been reading my blog. (wink,wink). I won't tell. I look at blogs at work, I admit it. But, not a lot. Just when I need a break for a second. So, anyway, I wondered if you ever look at your "hit tracker" software such as webstat and have some crazy names in there? I'd like to hear who.

Blog Updates

Some of you may have noticed some of the little changes I have made to the blog lately. First, Allison told me how to make the "blog list" over to the right that will show you when the blogs were last updated. I really like this feature. ALSO, Scott and I have joined Facebook and we love it...so if you are on Facebook and we aren't already "friends", ask me to be your friend. Heehee. It sounds so funny to say that. I like to play Scrabulous and the Hatchery and Scott's favorite seems to be the Northwest Trail and all the movie quizzes. So, anyway...if you are on Facebook and you want to play a game of Scrabble with me, let me know and I'll start a game. It's fun. Okay, that's all.

One of my few blogging friends that I have never actually met, Midlife Mom at Home on the Range, is having a drawing in celebration of her 250th post! You should check out her blog and enter to win one of her two prizes! How fun is that?

I stumbled across her blog while looking at the comments on a blog that I found through the comments on someone else's blog! She lives in Maine and has all kinds of four-legged friends with whom she shares her piece of land. Reading her blog makes me want to visit Maine and the rest of New England...but maybe we will do that in the summer, because if you know me, you know how much I hate cold weather!

Blogger's Choice Awards

So, as you will see there are a few new things over to the left. Jennifer nominated my blog for "Best Photography Blog"! Thanks Jennifer! Scott has nominated our blog for all the others. Other blogs that I know have been nominated for things are Jordan Family Happenings, Another Day...Another Opportunity, Callie Michelle, and Shadburns-R-Us. It's fun to go and see all the other blogs that have been nominated.
