Birth Announcement

My friends Emily and Travis from college have just given birth to their second son! Little Walker Bowden was born this past Saturday. He weighed in a a whopping 7 lb 12 oz and 20 3/4 inches! I know that this doesn't sound big to most people, but Emily and Travis are small people and their first son, Will, was just a little over 6 lbs! He is really precious! Just look at this little cutie! I talked to Emily yesterday and she is doing pretty well, all things considered! Please pray for this family as they get used to having a new baby at home and as Emily recovers.




Just a side note...I have no idea why the picture have that strange white border on the right and bottom, but I did download the pictures from the webmail from work, so I guess something was lost in the translation. I'll fix them tomorrow probably.

Last Weekend

Last weekend was very busy for us. On Saturday, we went to visit our friends Jeff and Adriene who recently had twins and then we went to a shower for my friend Arlene, whom I have known since elementary school. Arlene got married this past Saturday and she lives in Maryland. So, she came down for a shower with her GA friends.

Jeff and Adriene's twins, Erin and Gracie, are too cute! At nine weeks old,they are just now getting to be the size of a newborn at about 8 lbs each. Erin looks a lot like Adriene and Gracie looks a lot like Jeff. They are too sweet. We really enjoyed our visit with the family. We even got to meet Adriene's parents.

Arlene's shower was given by another friend from high school, Jennifer, who we all called J.K. There weren't many of us there, but we enjoyed ourselves. We painted pottery at a place called Just Kiln Time in the Marietta square. I painted Arlene and Josh a plate with their wedding date on it. I was glad to meet Josh. He seemed like a really nice guy.

Visiting Friends

Saturday Scott and I visited with our friends Eric and Kari. Eric and Kari have recently had their first child, Evan. He is just so cute! It was fun to hang out with Eric and Kari and I got to hold Evan a lot! He is a very good and content baby. The picture above is one of Evan when Kari was trying to wake him up so that she could feed him. She would tickle his lips and he would pucker them out like that. Too cute!

Welcome to the World, Evan!

Our friends Eric and Kari, whose shower we recently attended, just had their baby! Evan Douglas Moore was born at 3:14 pm on Wednesday, October 10! He's a real cutie! Eric and Kari are home and have sent pictures. I thought I would share this one with all of you. I mean, who gets tired of looking at babies? Especially cute babies like Evan! Congratulations Eric and Kari, and welcome to the world, Evan.

Weekend Visits

Yesterday Scott and I visited with my friend Jennifer who I worked with at T&U. Jennifer just had Haylee on August 1. So, her 2 month birthday is tomorrow! It is amazing how time flies! Jennifer's husband Lamar was out of town, so we missed him. It was great visiting with Jennifer and Haylee. Haylee is such a sweet baby. While we were eating lunch, she would look over at Jennifer and bat her eyes and then start smiling. She has all kinds of sweet facial expressions. Here are a few of the cuter pictures we took (well, Haylee is cute in them; my eyes are half closed in one).













The last one is how Haylee was when we left. Jennifer put her in her swing and she was out in minutes!

The Twins Have Arrived

Our friends Jeff and Adriene had their twins! Erin and Grace were born on September 2nd. They have cute pictures of them on their blog. We are so happy for Jeff and Adriene. We are praying that God continues to pour blessings on them. I know that they need our prayers as they learn how to take care of twins. However, I have heard from Jeff that Adriene is doing a great job being a mom.

Haylee Is Here!

My friend Jennifer at work finally had her baby! Little Haylee arrived last night at 9:08pm. She is a whopping 8lbs 15oz and 21 inches long! Her due date actually was Aug. 1, so she was very prompt. However, originally they had said that Jennifer was due on July 23, and judging from how big she was, I think she went a week late. To get some idea of how big poor Jennifer got, revisit this post from her shower on June 30. Some of us from the office went to see her today at Piedmont. Jennifer was so happy and perky and Haylee was so cute and pink and her little face was just so round. I didn't get any pictures, but Jennifer's husband Lamar showed up before we left and said that he was going to email some to me tonight, so I will add them when I get them. I know everyone loves baby pictures! I am very happy for Jennifer and Lamar and they are both so excited Haylee is here. I know that they will need our prayers as they begin their little family.
